Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

So Clutch

So Clutch

A few months ago I came across some scrap leather in the basement of my parent’s house. It was clearly begging to be made into something beautiful so I got right to work. This was my first real sewing project [not counting the home ec classes we had to take in middle school]. Regardless to say, I was a bit hesitant.  I figured that an envelope clutch would be a great ‘intro to sewing’ project and luckily it was pretty easy...besides one thing.  You see, I like to be resourceful and not buy unnecessary things.  Now, I assumed that I could cut leather with scissors.  I mean, you cut fabric with scissors...and mine were pretty sharp, so why not?! Well let’s just say scissors & leather DO NOT MIX. It’s hard enough to cut straight lines with scissors, but on leather? Impossible. I highly recommend that you buy rotary cutters.  Learned that the hard way. Anyway, here's some pictures of my on the whim creation:
